OUR FINAL STATEMENT The Chart would like to make a formal announcement that, as of January 28, 2012, we will no longer be slinging drinks in Park Circle. As we celebrate 4 years of serving the Charleston Community and beyond, it is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to The Chart, itspatrons, and the many talents that have performed at our "little bar." As many of you know, our personal lives were blessed with the birth of two little people over the summer, and they make managing a bar quite difficult. An opportunity presented itself, and we decided, with much consideration, to sell The Chart. Simply, our passion for The Chart has been trumped by other business opportunities and the desire to focus on our families. As we reflect on the past four years, the memories are ones of The Chart bringing smiles to most faces and a sense of "home" to those that had none. We can only hope that the relationships we have witnessed form, the friendships that have been created, and the overall sense of unity in our community will not fade as our doors close at the end of January. We wish everyone peace and happiness. If The Chart has proven one thing, it is that gay men and women, straight singles and couples, CAN co-exist. Unfortunately, it also proves that hate still lingers in our community. In South Carolina, there are too many obstacles that the gay community continues to face OUTSIDE our own, therefore we need not hate amongst ourselves. As we enter our final month of business, there are many persons that we would like to thank, publicly. Specifically, DJ BeckDanger for her commitment and professionalism over the years, DJ Trevor for his ability to bring the boys in and spin hot beats all night long, and to DJ Amanda Click and DJ Bliss for their effortless strengths behind the music table. To the band, Jamison Alley, we will miss all the fun that you repeatedly bring to The Chart! To Jessikah Dayzee for being a great Hostess for our very successful shows, and to the patrons that have supported us over the years, words cannot express our appreciation. And finally… thank you to our loyal employees! YOU guys are the hardest part of saying goodbye and we wish you all the success in the world! January 2012 is our "swan song" month and we plan on going out with a bang! We have PACKED the month with talent, shows, and DJs. Halycon, Jamison Alley, and Sirsy will all be playing LIVE MUSIC throughout the month. Karaoke with DJ BeckDanger will be as hot as ever and of course our Charleston's Got Drag contest will crown a winner later in the month! We will have dueling DJ night hosted by DJ BeckDanger and DJ Bliss, and DJ Trevor will light up a final "theme" night. Stay tuned for the line-up as we release it on NEW YEAR'S EVE! Come celebrate with us as we ring in 2012 and toast YOU & The Chart! Doors open at 9pm, show starts promptly at 11pm, and champagne galore at midnight!
